Students could be the future of a nation

Honorable Caretaker prime minister of Pakistan. I write to bring to your attention a pressing concern that plagues the hopes and aspirations of thousands of parents regarding their children. Particularly regarding the prevalence of nepotism in educational institutions. The prevailing belief is that educational building builds up the character of students, and teachers remove the hurdles in the path that students confront in pursuing their life goals.

However, teachers of the nation, instead of cleaning the path, are exacerbating the challenges for students because of perpetual nepotism. Let me put the light on the action of the teacher regarding the paper checking procedure. Most of the teachers prefer quantity of writing but not quality of content. Through this method of checking, deserving and well-educated students secure fewer marks than those who write irrelevant and non-standard content in papers. Many families in our country grapple with poverty, and parents, in their pursuit to secure a brighter future for their children, sacrifice everything to
provide them with education.

The prevailing belief is that education will empower their children to overcome financial challenges through hard work and merit. The painful reality is that the influence of affiliation with teachers has marred the dreams of countless meritorious candidates. At first, it was believed that having good grades couldn’t prove fruitful for students, but in our contemporary society, having high marks means one can get admission to private colleges and obtain desired jobs. Amidst this turmoil, it is disheartening to witness the increasing frequency of suicidal events and growing chaos throughout the country. I urge your office to consider prioritizing stringent actions against those teachers and their pattern of paper
checking.

By doing so, not only will the principles of merit and transparency prevail, but the economic conditions of Pakistan will also witness substantial improvement. Your commitment to the eradication of corruption and the restoration of meritocracy in our educational system will undoubtedly shape a more equitable and prosperous future for Pakistan.
